The chairman of the Sport Writer Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter, Olatutu Oladunni, has hailed Nigeria’s Super Falcons for putting up good showing against Australia in their group match of the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup played on Thursday.
Oladunni says in a statement on Friday that the sports writers in Lagos rejoiced with the Nigerian football family over the 3-2 victory of the Super Falcons.
The Super Falcons came from a goal down to overpowered Australians to become the best team of the day with an inspiring game against the co-hosts.
Super Falcons will face Ireland in their group match as they eye a comfortable place in their group to the next round of the world cup.
